What is a stock transfer?
A stock transfer moves inventory from one location to another — for example from a godown to a shop, or from Shop A to Shop B. Good transfer workflows record who sent the stock, who received it, quantities, and any rejections or discrepancies.
Why it matters
- Informal transfers via phone or paper are a top source of inventory discrepancies
- Shops may show stock that never arrived — or godown stock may disappear without a record
- Multi-branch operators need transfers to balance slow and fast locations without reordering
How Intelyflow handles stock transfer
- Godown-to-shop dispatch with accept/reject and audit trail
- Shop and godown admins see pending and completed transfers
- Transfer history supports month-end reconciliation
